2nd Set of Med students visits Friends Village
Friends Village Executive Director Tom Lyons congratulated
UMDNJ Medical Students Siddharth Bhimani, of Voorhees,
and Joanna Graeber, of Elmer, on completing their Community
Medicine Service rotation at Friends Village.
The students were able to interact with residents during health assessments, rehabilitation sessions and during rounds with the medical staff at the facility.They were introduced to the dietary needs of older adults, hospice care and Medicare guidelines.
Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) are federally funded and have been serving communities throughout the United States for 30 years.Garden AHEC serves Salem, Cumberland and Gloucester counties.
Volunteers Make the Difference!
The Sing-Along group, which has been bringing music to Friends Village residents for more than 20 years, was recognized for its volunteerism during the 15th Annual Salem County Community Spirit Awards. Thank you for all you do for our residents!
