Volunteering
There are many ways you can become involved at Friends Village. We depend on volunteers to make it possible to offer additional social and special events, an important aspect of life for our residents. Volunteers are welcome to become involved in any of the opportunities listed below.

Friends Village Auxiliary members meet monthly to plan special events to enhance the social life of our residents. For more information about the Auxiliary, please contact Ann Gudeczauskas, Activities Coordinator, at 856-823-0243.
Country Store/Gift Shop – Wait on customers and help keep the inventory current. A 2-hour commitment, scheduled in advance, is requested. Please contact Leanne Wagner in the business office, 856-769-1500 ext. 2914, to sign up.
Coffee Hour Hosts enjoy social conversation with residents and coordinate refreshments. Hosts are asked to serve beverages, provide assistance to residents as needed and facilitate conversation. This activity requires a 1½ hour commitment once a month.
Visit Residents on a one-to-one basis to provide extra socialization, play games or read, go outside for walks; scheduled according to resident/volunteer mutual interests.
Help with Special Events – Volunteers are needed to help plan events and to assist staff members during the events. The time commitment varies but the rewards and smiles are priceless. To learn about upcoming events, call Debbie Callahan in the Marketing Department at 856-823-0778.
Entertainment – Do you have a special talent to share? We would love to schedule you to perform for a small group or larger crowd. We also need help on concert nights assisting Health Care residents to and from the auditorium.
Pastoral Care – Clergy and lay leaders are invited to provide spiritual support either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. The time commitment varies according to resident need and interests of volunteers.
Memory Garden – Help residents and other volunteers with planting and maintaining the Memory Garden on a seasonal basis. The time commitment will vary based on volunteers interests. Please contact Karen Taylor, Executive Administrative Assistant, at 856-823-0238 to assist with this activity.
