Special Memory Support
The Evergreens is a
neighborhood on the first floor of the Rachel Davis DuBois House
that provides residents with memory support for Alzheimer’s and
related dementias. A safe, secure environment is available
throughout all stages of the disease, offering an atmosphere or
caring, understanding and compassion that assures functioning at the
highest possible level. Residents enjoy their own suites with
carefully trained staff ready to guide, comfort and provide care as
needed. Secure walking paths and carefully designed rooms and
commons areas contribute to the residents’ ability to overcome their
challenges as long as possible. Activities are geared specifically
to stimulate the memory and evoke fond thoughts of past experiences.
Outdoor moments in our Memory and Activity Gardens will provide
residents the opportunity to revisit sights, sounds and scents from
their past. Families are recognized as partners in the care of
residents living in Evergreens. Collaborative efforts of our
interdisciplinary team, ongoing education and family support
complete the circle of comprehensive care and services offered to
this special community of residents.
