More than one hundred and twenty years of senior care has been made possible through generous support from our friends. A lot has changed since 1896 when Friends Village at Woodstown was a small boarding home in the center of Woodstown while some things have stayed the same. Our scenic campus now includes spacious cottages, convenient apartments, and daily fine dining while our commitment to excellence remains untouched. As our services grow, so does the need for financial support of our work. This is why we are so appreciative of our donors and community partners who decide to make Friends Village at Woodstown a priority in their charitable giving.

Donor contributions make a big impact in the lives of South Jersey seniors. As a nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community, we rely on the generosity of others to help us provide over $1,000,000 of charitable care each year. That number has grown in recent years with the cost of health care rising annually with no end in sight. In addition to quality health care, our professional staff works hard to provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our residents which requires constant attention to our buildings and grounds. These are challenges we proudly accept and look forward to successfully completing.
Truth is, we simply cannot do it alone.
Friends Village welcomes contributions of any size. Annual donations of $10.00 mean as much as a $20,000.00 gift. It all supports our meaningful work and collectively improves the quality of life for hundreds of seniors each year. We are proud to be good stewards of every donated dollar and operate on a strong belief in the Donor’s Bill of Rights (see below). It is not only our policy to honor every donor’s wishes, but to also pay it forward within our surrounding community as we support the efforts of other nonprofit agencies and traditions.
We appreciate support in the form of annual gifts during our Annual Appeal as well as contributions to our fundraisers such as our Annual Golf Outing and our new Holiday Concert Series. Friends Village at Woodstown also welcomes honorarium and memorial gifts, birthday celebrations or thoughtful donations made in the name of someone who has made a difference in the lives of others. Donations can be made by check, cash, appreciated stock, planned gifts and corporate matching contributions.
Friends Village at Woodstown is a registered, 501c3, nonprofit organization (Tax ID # 21-0455847). Donations are tax deductible according to IRS guidelines.

FUNDS AND SPECIFIC GIFTS AT FRIENDS VILLAGE
RESIDENT BENEVOLENCE FUND
Every year, more than 1 million dollars of charitable care is provided to seniors through the Resident Benevolence Fund. The fund provides the financial means to connect seniors who have started to outlive their savings with critical health care services offered within our campus. These dollars are raised through annual fundraising events, individual donations and appeals.
HONOR AND MEMORIAL GIFTS
Few gifts are more poignant than those made in someone’s honor. Whether donated in memory of a loved one or honoring a friend, Honor and Memory gifts are laden with love, affection, and admiration felt for that special someone. These gifts allow us to pay tribute to those people who touched our lives and left a lasting impression. Honor and Memorial gifts are accepted at any time and can be contributed to any Friends Village at Woodstown Fund. Please be sure to share the name of the individual you are honoring or remembering as well as the name of any family member that you would like us to send an acknowledgement to.
I would like to make a memorial gift in the name of John Smith. Please send an acknowledgement to his wife, Mary Smith, at 100 Main St, Anywhere, NJ 00000.
SPECIAL PROJECT FUND
Our nonprofit status makes it necessary to raise funds for special projects from time to time. Past projects include the installation of our new security system that provides 24/7 emergency response care to each resident and larger initiatives such as a campaign to build new Independent Apartments within the campus. These projects are announced through our Mission Support Department whenever a need arises.
STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND
Our work at Friends Village at Woodstown is made up of more than 200 staff members with special skills and talents. These individuals work together to provide a safe and comfortable environment for every resident who trusts us with their care. We are committed to offering continuing education opportunities to our staff members for multiple reasons. Professional development for staff is critical to offering innovative and relevant health care to seniors while the benefits of participation in personal growth opportunities is essential for quality staff retention. We invest in our staff to create an environment that encourages learning and to foster a culture of creativity and compassion, ensuring the continuance of our reputation for excellence for current and future residents. This fund is often supported by residents as a way to give back to the dedicated staff who take care of their individual needs every day.
